More Than a Referral Scheme. Sometimes a client or prospect will ask you to undertake work that falls outside your firm’s specialist areas. You may have a conflict of interest, limited capacity, or not the right expertise to support them.
Myerson Connections is a referral scheme for law firms, solicitors and those operating in the legal sector. It enables you to confidently refer clients to trusted specialists, ensuring they receive the support they need while protecting your client relationship.
Membership is completely free, with no minimum term, and allows you to offer your clients access to a wide range of specialist legal services, beyond your own areas of practice.
If you are unable to assist and we subsequently act for your client, we will pay you a referral fee*. Alternatively, if you prefer not to receive a referral fee for a particular matter, we are happy to pass the saving directly on to your client. Simply let us know.
However, Myerson Connections goes beyond a traditional referral scheme. It provides a collaborative, knowledge-sharing network where members benefit from peer-to-peer support, practical guidance on ad hoc queries, complimentary training and seminars, priority invitations to events, regular insights and introductions to trusted professional contacts.

If your client contacts us directly about any other matter, we’ll seek to refer them back to you. *

How it works - at a glance
- We will get to know you, your firm and your specialist areas of expertise.
- Your client asks you for advice you’re not in a position to provide.
- You ask them if they’re happy to be referred to someone who can help and explain that you’re part of Myerson Connections.
- You call us to discuss the matter, talk through the options and make the referral.
- We’ll contact your client, with your consent, to discuss those options again with them directly.
- We’ll confirm our fees and provide your client with more information about Myerson Connections.
- We’ll issue our engagement letter, complete the work and bill your client directly.
- We’ll confirm to you when the work is completed and billed.
- We’ll pay your referral fee once we receive payment from your client.

Meet Chris Wilson - Head of Business Development
Chris Wilson is Head of Business Development at Myerson, working closely with clients, referrers and professional contacts across a wide range of sectors. His role focuses on connecting businesses and individuals with the specialist legal expertise they need, while supporting the development of strong, long-term relationships.
Chris joined Myerson in 2014 as a solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial team and has extensive experience advising on company mergers, sales and acquisitions, incorporations, group reorganisations and general commercial matters. He also regularly assists clients with shareholder agreements, protection planning, share option arrangements and corporate governance issues.
Drawing on his legal background and strong commercial insight, Chris has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by business owners, SMEs and larger organisations. This insight shapes his leadership of Myerson Connections, where he has helped grow the network’s membership and strengthen collaboration across the legal sector.
Chris works closely with Sarah Bailey and Scott Watson as part of the wider business development and Myerson connections team.
